Spring Harvest joy
It was an amazing experience for me to go back to Spring Harvest earlier this week – after 7 years away.
To see people going on with God, moving forward in faith and trusting Him for new things was a real privilege. It wasn’t without its sadness of course. I was last there with my Mum who has since been promoted to glory.
I met some wonderful people. Most of whom came (let me say on a very WARM day, to the furthest reaches of the site) to a seminar I was speaking on about grief and loss.
I felt really emotional as I thought back over the last time I was in that same venue, when Jon and I were leading the 11-14’s with a large team of 30 young crazies.
There I was, looking out on a sea of faces – some wet with tears as they relived painful memories of their own personal grief… others nodding as I described the symptoms of those they were trying to care for. There was such a sense of God bonding us together and helping us to help each other. The comfort of the Holy Spirit was in the room!
Thank you to the lovely people who have contacted me from that seminar and asked for the book. I will of course get back to you after the holidays.
I just wanted to say what an immense joy it was to share with you and speak to you.
Thank you for encouraging me on my journey and allowing me the privilege of praying with you and standing with you in your grief.
Much love
Ems
