The words are so simple. But so true.

My reading today was from Psalm 112

Praise the Lord.
Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in his commands.

Their children will be mighty in the land;Ӭ the generation of the upright will be blessed.

Wealth and riches are in their houses,Ӭ and their righteousness endures forever.
4
Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,Ӭ for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
5
Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,Ӭ who conduct their affairs with justice.
6
Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.
7
They will have no fear of bad news;Ӭ their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
8
Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.”

So today, the day we will find out the prognosis for my Mum’s cancer, I will have no fear of bad news and my heart will be steadfast, trusting the Lord. My heart will be secure. Why?
Because I know that He is FOR ME. He is FOR US as a family. Even if we fail Him, or doubt Him or are challenged in our beliefs about Him. He is unwavering. He is good and His heart is to do us good too.

In every season and circumstance of the soul, God is FOR US. I bear testimony of this truth today and I stand on a rock that ain’t going anywhere.
